Real Estate Investments

There are a number of ways to make money by investing in real estate. As an individual you can buy distressed or foreclosed homes, do minimal upgrades, rent them out and then when the market bounces back sell at a nice profit. Thanks to the hysterical seller's market a few years ago and the sky high prices, the number of people defaulting on their home loans is at an all time record. The real estate foreclosure market is booming. Unlike a decade ago when a foreclosure was almost certainly a broken down/condemned piece of real estate, now foreclosures are just as likely to be beautiful and well kept homes! This makes investing in foreclosed properties very attractive.

Investing in commercial properties is also an option. Since most commercial properties are much more expensive than residential homes, it makes sense to invest with a group. A limited partnership can be set up with the general partner managing the properties.

Real estate investments don't have to be limited to where you live. If you're considering an investment in a foreign country

Forex Trading

Forex gets its label from Foreign Exchange and is the buying and selling of currencies. The average Forex trading turnover in 24 hours is US$1.9 trillion which makes it the largest financial market in the world. The market closes for only a two day, or 48 hour, period every week and is otherwise open from 5PM EST Sunday to 5PM EST Friday.

Nearly all, 95%, of the Forex Trading is done on speculation. The trading of the currencies is focused on turning a profit. The remaining portion, 5%, is done for services and products of companies sold in a foreign country and converting back to their own domestic currency. Governments exchange foreign currencies for the same reasons.
